Lead Performance Development Engineer

Taking technical ownership. Shaping engine technology.

Your Tasks

Develop and improve the steady-state and transient performance of gas engines through simulation and testing.
Lead gas engine development projects focusing on power, efficiency, emissions, transient behavior and operating strategies.
Plan and conduct in-house testing on single- and multi-cylinder engines, focusing on mixture preparation, gas exchange, ignition, combustion and turbocharging.
Analyze and interpret simulation and measurement results, draw conclusions and prepare reports.
Validate engine and component performance, including testing at research institutes and customer sites.
Collaborate closely with controls, design, mechanical engineering, emissions aftertreatment, test bench, service, manufacturing and order engineering teams, as well as external suppliers.

Your qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Several years of experience in internal combustion engine development, with a focus on performance development.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a global matrix organization.
Good communication skills in English.
